Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park

Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park is located in Cornish, New Hampshire, approximately 47 miles northwest of Concord. The park spans an area of 190 acres and is nestled in the picturesque landscape of the Connecticut River Valley.

The historical park is dedicated to preserving the legacy of the renowned American sculptor, Augustus Saint-Gaudens, who lived and worked on the site for 20 years until his death in 1907. Many of his most iconic sculptures, including the Shaw Memorial and the Adams Memorial, were created on these grounds. Visitors can explore the artist's former residence, known as the "Aspet Cottage," which has been meticulously preserved to reflect the late 19th-century ambiance.

Aside from the artist's residence and studio, the park offers numerous walking trails that showcase beautifully landscaped gardens, showcasing a variety of flora that Saint-Gaudens personally cultivated during his time there.
