Golden Spike National Historical Park

Golden Spike National Historical Park is located in Promontory Summit, Utah. The park commemorates and preserves the historic location where the First Transcontinental Railroad was completed on May 10, 1869. It is situated approximately 32 miles west of Brigham City and spans over 2,700 acres.

The park visitor center features exhibits, a theater, bookstore, picnic areas, and a welcoming staff that will help visitors get the most out of their trip. From late-October to late-April the visitor center is open five days a week, Thursday-Monday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM MST, closed Tuesday & Wednesday. During the summer, the visitor center is open daily, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM MDT.
